Dr.-Ing. Shiva Faeghinezhad is an Assistant Professor in the Health Technology & Services Research section of the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. She earned her PhD from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, where her research centered on operating room planning and management, framed within the broader discipline of healthcare systems engineering.

Her multidisciplinary research lies at the intersection of healthcare systems engineering and data-driven simulation. She focuses on topics such as healthcare operations and systems planning, process mining in healthcare, and sustainable health system design. Recently, her research has expanded to explore the environmental implications of healthcare innovations and technologies, with the goal of developing strategies and tools that foster more sustainable and ecologically responsible health systems.
