Stefan Kuks is chairman (watergraaf) of Dutch Water Authority Vechtstromen. He is also full professor of Water Policy Innovation and Implementation at the University of Twente.

Additional functions he currently holds are: chair Programme Board Trendbureau Overijssel; vice-chair Supervisory Board NWB Bank; chair NWB Water Innovation Fund; chair Supervisory Board Rijksmuseum Twenthe and De Museumfabriek; chair steering committee Experimentation Site East-Netherlands (focused on sustainable farming).
