Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Sterre van Arum. I am a PhD Candidate at HMI. My research is focused on supporting children who perform picky eating behavior during the shared meal, as well as supporting their parents. Through literature, expert interviews, co-design sessions, qualitative and quantitative evaluation I aim to create an intervention that can both bring the HCI side and nutrition side together, to help me with this problem.
Other research interests involve seamless ADL-based design involving stroke patients, and AI-human interaction.
I finished my Bachelors Creative Technology in Nov 2020, and my masters Interaction Technology in Feb 2024. After this, I was a Junior Researcher at IxD for the Shared Decision Making project. And right now I am in the lovely Citadel building for the Dine and Design project as PhD candidate.
