I recently joined the SCS group as a Guest PhD researcher. Alongside my doctoral studies, I work at the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) in Ankara, Türkiye, where I am responsible for the digitalization of disaster management operations. I have been with AFAD for over ten years, an experience that has provided me with valuable insights into the challenges faced by disaster management systems.
My current research builds on this experience. I focus on ontology-based demand generation within distributed Systems-of-Systems agent architectures, as well as the optimal allocation of resources. I am also deeply interested in the application of digital twins for tracking and control in disaster management processes.
