Tristan Vlogman is a PhD candidate in the Engineering Fluid Dynamics group since April 2021. His research focuses on the modelling of particle transport in physiological flows using Lattice-Boltzmann methods.

Tristan graduated in February 2021 from the University of Twente in the Engineering Fluid Dynamics group with a thesis titled "Development of Multigrid local grid refinement for heterogeneous anisotropic material simulations in contact mechanics". This research consisted of the development and implementation of a multigrid solver with local grid refinements which was then applied for detailed computation of the stress field in the roller-raceway contact problem that occurs in roller bearings.
