Tim Mayer is PhD Candidate and a Research Scientist with the University of Alabama in Huntsville and serves as a Data Scientist for NASA’s SERVIR Science Coordination Office. SERVIR – a joint development initiative between NASA and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) – which focuses on strengthening the Earth observation application and data accessibility in developing nations. Additionally, Tim has worked and conducted research across the global and specifically focused in the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region while serving in the prior role as the SERVIR Regional Science Coordination Lead for the HKH. Tim’s primary research interest surrounds the applied intersection of Ecology and Deep Learning.
