I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Geo-Information Management at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente. With a background that includes an M.Sc. in Urbanism from TU Delft, a B.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Stuttgart, and training in carpentry, I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to the study of more plural and just spatial futures.

The (provisional) title of my PhD research is “Infrastructures of Care: Decentering Futuring Methodologies to Make Space for Agonistic Pluralism in Spatial Planning”. At its core, I will be exploring mixed-methods (Creswell, 2002) and how we can meaningfully connect scientific knowledge, systemic thinking, lived experience, situated knowledge, and imaginaries through a lens of Care (Tronto, 2019; Miraftab, 2022, 2024). This way, I aim to contribute to bridging top-down planning and bottom-up agency to co-create just spatial futures.
