I am a PhD researcher at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Geo-Information Management, funded by the Sectorplan Bèta under the Spatial Dynamics Focus Area for Transdisciplinary GeoSciences.
Trained as a Spatial Designer, I bring an interdisciplinary background that bridges an MSc in Urbanism (TU Delft), a BSc in Architecture and Urban Planning (University of Stuttgart), and practical training in carpentry. I leverage these diverse perspectives to bridge top-down planning and bottom-up agency through a methodological lens.
Supervised by Dr. Carissa Champlin, Prof. Dr. Karin Pfeffer, and Dr. Johannes Flacke, my PhD research explores how we can meaningfully co-create just spatial futures by connecting multiple scales, temporalities, and types of knowledge through an intersectional, feminist lens of care (Tronto, 2019; Miraftab, 2022, 2024). Through iterative processes of research by spatial design (RbSD) and radical spatial imagination, I investigate how transdisciplinary co-creation of infrastructures of care (Gabauer et al., 2021; Sánchez, 2023; Sheringham, 2025; Strüver & Franz, 2025; Stadtlander et al., 2026) can decentralise futuring methodologies and foster space for agonistic pluralism (Mouffe, 2000) in spatial planning.
