Wesley van den Beld is Assistant Professor in the XUV Optics group at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, University of Twente. His research explores the physical and chemical behavior of functional thin films under extreme (E)UV and plasma environments, with applications in advanced nanofabrication and EUV lithography. He combines experimental surface science with materials engineering to improve the performance and reliability of next-generation optical and semiconductor systems.
