About Me
In 2021,I obtained my master's degree in environmental engineering at Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. During my master's thesis, I worked at Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology (UMSICHT), where I worked on the treatment and re-use of rinsing process water in beverage can production by adsorption on activated carbon and nanofiltration.
In May 2022, I started my PhD in Wetsus, The Netherlands, in collaboration with the Membrane Surface Science (MSuS) group at the University of Twente. During my PhD project, I will investigate the stability of polyelectrolyte multilayer (PEM) based membranes under harsh conditions and work on the development of highly stable PEM based membranes. The new membranes will then be applied to the problem of Produced Water, a problematic and complex waste stream from the petrochemical industry
