I completed my Bachelorā€™s degree in industrial design by designing a product family, consisting of wearables, packaging and a mobile application that allows young adults with cystic fibrosis (CF, a hereditary multisystem disorder which causes dysfunction by affecting the glands of internal organs) to implement neuromuscular electrical stimulation treatment at home on their own in more hygienic conditions.

Right after my graduation, I started my Masterā€™s degree in the same field with a further interest in research. I completed my thesis, titled "Improving the Experience of Living with Cystic Fibrosis: A Study on the Design of Products and Services Used in the Management of the Disease", with an aim to provide a set of suggestions for designers and design researchers by examining the challenges faced by individuals with CF in managing their disease.

In addition to my studies, I worked as a project researcher on an EU-funded project called ā€œD.Docā€, which produced an Open Educational Resource (OER) for all doctoral design education across 34 Erasmus+ countries.

I am specifically interested in exploring the ways in which research and design can satisfy the unmet needs and expectations, and enhance the interaction between people, as well as people and the technology that surrounds them.
