Dr. Yingjun Quan is an Assistant Professor of Manufacturing Systems(MS) in the Faculty of Engineering Technology (ET) at the University of Twente. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University (SNU) obtained in 2019. Before joining the University of Twente, he was a Research Assistant Professor at SNU, where he led a team focused on micro/nanomanufacturing processes and sensor technologies. He also served as a visiting scholar at George Washington University in the USA and as a research assistant at the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) in South Korea.
Dr. Quan’s research expertise includes advanced manufacturing processes, smart/functional materials, and sensor technologies for future manufacturing systems. During his tenure in South Korea, Dr. Quan secured research funding from the Korean government as a principal investigator and led several key research projects.
He is a Research Affiliate(RA) of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), an international committee member of the Korean Society of Precision Engineering (KSPE), and an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing-Green Technology (IJPEM-GT).
