Dr. Yingjun Quan is an Assistant Professor of Manufacturing Systems in the Faculty of Engineering Technology at the University of Twente. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University (SNU) obtained in 2019. Before joining the University of Twente, he was a Research Assistant Professor at SNU, where he led a team focused on micro/nano manufacturing processes and sensor technologies. He also served as a visiting scholar at George Washington University in the USA and as a research assistant at the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) in South Korea.
Dr. Quan’s research expertise includes advanced manufacturing processes, smart/functional materials, and sensor technologies for future manufacturing systems. During his tenure in South Korea, Dr. Quan secured research funding from the Korean government as a principal investigator and led several key research projects.
He is a Research Affiliate of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP) and a member of the Korean Society of Precision Engineering (KSPE)
