About Me
Yawar Abbas is a researcher with a strong interest in knowledge management and organizational learning. In his doctoral research, he is investigating means of improving lessons learned management from a technological and social standpoint. In this regard, he takes guidance from project management, systems engineering, information management, and knowledge management literature. For practical exploration and application of his research, he works closely with colleagues from Netherlands Railways and ProRail.
Yawar holds a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in maintenance and operations from the University of Twente. Moreover, he has a fair amount of study abroad experience as he did his bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Additionally, he also participated in a semester exchange change program during his bachelor's study, where he studied for one semester at Mississippi state university, USA.
