dr.ing. R. Arendt (Rosalie)

I joined the University of Twente in January 2023 as Assistant Professor to research carbon and water compensation schemes. From 2019 I worked as a doctoral researcher at the Technical University Berlin and obtained my PhD in 2022. My PhD focused on monetary weighting in environmental Life Cycle Assessment and its application. More specifically, I have investigated the quantification of environmental costs of the extraction of specialty metals for low‑carbon development. I studied environmental science and technology at the Technical University Berlin and have a strong interest in environmental economics and policy. My main research interest lies in environmental accounting and how environmental accounting influences the success and ambition of environmental policy.
